Refund Policy

Effective date: May 25, 2026

Please read the following fee rules for LangIsland virtual services carefully before purchasing. This policy is established to support third-party payment review requirements and consumer protection compliance.

1. Exemption from the 7-Day Cooling-Off Period for Digital Content

According to the "Regulations on Reasonable Exceptions to the Right of Contract Cancellation" in Taiwan, the memberships, subscription plans, Island Pass, Session Access, and Session booking privileges provided by LangIsland are classified as "digital content not supplied on a tangible medium or online services completed once provided."

Once payment is completed and access is granted, the service is deemed delivered. Therefore, all paid plans on this Platform are exempt from the 7-day cooling-off period stipulated in Article 19 of the Consumer Protection Act. No refunds will be issued once payment and activation are complete.

2. Subscription Billing and Cancellation

  • If you purchase a recurring subscription plan, the payment system will automatically renew and charge you according to the billing cycle you selected, such as monthly, quarterly, or annually, until you actively cancel the subscription.
  • You may cancel the next automatic renewal at any time through the Platform's account settings page. After cancellation, your islander access and benefits remain active until the final day of the current paid billing period. Starting from the next period, you will no longer be automatically charged and your access will be downgraded to the free tier.
  • Cancelling a subscription is not a request to refund the current paid period. Fees already charged for the current period are non-refundable and will not be prorated by day.

3. Session Reservation Cancellation and Seat Rules

To protect seat fairness for peer learning and respect Host time, Session cancellation and seat rules are as follows:

  • Early cancellation: If you cannot attend a reserved Session, you must cancel it in the account dashboard at least 2 hours before the Session starts. The Session Access for that reservation will return to available status.
  • Late cancellation and absence: If you cancel less than 2 hours before the Session starts, do not attend without notice, or cannot enter because you are late, that Session Access will be treated as used.
